ABOUT BERT W. BOWDEN
I grew up on eight acres in Upstate New York, where fun, hard work was a way of life. Our family’s 1949 Farmall tractor helped with gardening, plowing, and hauling wood—lessons in responsibility that shaped me early on.
Faith and community were central to our family, and I loved skiing, tennis, and soccer. Trained by English and Scottish coaches, I even traveled overseas to compete, gaining invaluable lessons in teamwork and perseverance.
In 1977, my father, Bob, launched a specialty contracting business I joined at a young age. From sweeping cabinets to hauling materials and working double shifts, I learned the value of craftsmanship and putting the customer first.
My wife, Julie, and I have shared 38 wonderful years watching our two children build lives of their own—each now with four kids. Life is full, active, and abundantly blessed!
